Job Description Summary

The Performance Engineering team, within the Aeroderivatives Engine Operations department, is looking for an engineering student with passion for technology development to help the team accomplish 2023 commitments. On this job you will be in charge of learning and analyzing the health of an aero derivative engine (LM6000, LMS100) under different conditions and stages of its development.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Will execute Conceptual or theoretical activities related to translating users' needs into the definition of a system, its architecture and design through an iterative process that results in an effective operational system and demands an interdisciplinary approach.

  • Performs parametric studies regarding the interaction of the different component of the engine

  • Broadening knowledge of own technical discipline to execute policy/strategy.

  • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good technical knowledge and judgment within established procedures.

  • Makes use of statistical tools to provide answers.

  • Looks for creative solutions and constantly finds ways to improve on the quality and response time of his work.

  • Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined instructions/parameters.

  • Present and substantiate results from his/her own work to senior leadership and direct manage

Required Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Engineering BSc (up to 2 years prior graduation) in Mechanical, Aeronautical, Mechatronics, Energy or similar.

  • Good communication in Spanish and English.


Desired Characteristics

  • Experience with thermodynamics and fluid dynamics

  • Experience with C++, NPSS, python or similar computational language
